UK Hi Commission and TAF Representatives Visited IDEA Migration Project
Community-Based Awareness and Engagement for Safe, Legal and Informed Youth Migration Project successfully organized a Migration Information Session and a Consultancy Workshop with Educational Consultancies (FACD-CAB) at Sylhet International University.
We were honored by the presence of Emma Wind, Ryan Duncanson, and Tasneem Siddiq from the UK High Commission, along with Mir Junayed Jamal and Iqbal Mahmood from The Asia Foundation, who visited the sessions and engaged with students, youth ambassadors, and representatives of FACD-CAB member educational consultancies.
The visitors observed the interactive discussions, exchanged views with participants, and emphasized the importance of safe, legal, and informed migration, encouraging young people to make well-informed decisions based on accurate information while pursuing education opportunities abroad.
The event provided a valuable platform for students to directly interact with education consultants, ask questions about overseas study pathways—particularly in the UK—and better understand ethical recruitment practices and responsible migration.
Implemented by the Institute of Development Affairs (IDEA) with funding from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and technical support from The Asia Foundation, the project continues to empower young people with reliable migration information and promote responsible migration practices across Bangladesh.
