Aloy-ALOW Project is a comprehensive education and child wellbeing initiative designed to support early childhood development, strengthen family engagement, and promote safe, inclusive learning environments.

  Objective:

The project integrates education, nutrition, child protection, WASH, disaster preparedness, and community participation to improve holistic outcomes for children and adolescents.

  Location: Moulavibazar District

 

 Main Activities:

  • Operation of 130 ECD centers serving 2,568 enrolled children
  • Conducted 1,488 parenting sessions on child development, protection, nutrition, and care
  • Provision of regular nutritional support to 243 children through 11 daycare centers
  • Installation of WASH facilities:
    • 22 tube-wells
    • 122 latrines
    • Handwashing devices in schools and communities
  • Training of 32 Adolescent and Youth (A&Y) club representatives on leadership and teamwork
  • Engagement of 5,982 A&Y club members through peer education activities
  • Training of 2,006 families on homestead gardening with agricultural input support (in collaboration with the Upazila Agriculture Office)
  • Organization of 553 demonstration sessions on nutritious food preparation for mothers
  • Formation of 32 Community-Based Child Protection Committees (CBCPCs)
  • Training of 480 CBCPC members on child protection and response mechanisms
  • Development of 32 community-based DRR contingency plans
  • Conducted 96 disaster preparedness mock drills
  • Installation of 40 deep tube-wells in schools and communities
