I am very pleased to share our pleasure to host Tahsina Ahmed, a Masters student in the Social Work program at Monmouth University, USA for the next two months in our organization.
MsTahsina Ahmed is currently a second year graduate student at Monmouth University. She is pursuing her master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) with a concentration in International and Community Development. In 2014, Tahsina received her BA in Family and Child Studies and a certification in Child Advocacy from Montclair State University.
Tahsina is a proud Bangladeshi-American. She was born in New Jersey, USA and she currently lives Haledon, NJ with her parents and younger brother. Along with being a full time student, Tahsina is a Councilwoman for the Borough of Haledon. During her free time, Tahsina enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking and most importantly, eating.
Monmouth University has partnered with Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet and through this agreement, she is interning for IDEA. Tahsina looks forward to learning about how NGOs work in Bangladesh, pecifically around the issues of gender equality and good governance.
We are happy to have Tahsina with us, and we hope she’ll relish her internship in IDEA with success.
